How do I print to a DYMO printer using a Windows or Citrix Terminal Service?

DYMO does not support Windows or Citrix Terminal Services. You can click here to be directed to our drivers and downloads to see what environments are supported.

We do have some information on using the DYMO printer in these environments, this has been provided below:

Windows
There are two types of printers in Windows Terminal Service environment; Server Printers and Client Printers.
  • Server Printers are printers that are connected directly to the server. The server has direct access to the print queue. To allow client access to server printers, the automatic printer redirection feature must be enabled on the server. You must also configure the server to give clients access permission to the printers. For more information, click here to be redirected to an article on the Microsoft website.
  • Client Printers are printers that are connected directly to the client. To allow printing on client printers, follow these steps:
  1. Install the printer drivers on the server. Client printers will only work when the printer drivers are installed on the Terminal Server.
  1. Configure the Terminal Server to connect client printers. After the printer drivers are installed, you need to configure your Terminal Server to connect client printers when their terminal service sessions are started. Citrix

The Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server supports printing on both client printers and server printers. Refer to the MetaFrame Presentation Server Administrator's Guide (chapter 12 - Managing Printers) for more information on setting up both client printers and network printers.
