Look at the Cooking Guide on pages 12-14 of your Pressure Cooker User Guide. Find the cooking time for the meat you are preparing. next, find the cooking time for your longest cooking vegetable (such as potatoes). Subtract the cooking time for the vegetable from the cooking time for the meat. This is your adjusted cooking time for the first stage of cooking. Insert the meat and at least 2 cups of cooking liquid in the pressure cooker, lock the lid in place and cook for the adjusted cooking time. Use the Quick Release Method. Add the longer cooking vegetable(s), lock the lid in place and continue cooking for the recommended time. Use the Quick Release Method and add any quick cooking vegetables. Simmer, with the lid removed, until complete.
